Tomekichi Matsumoto was the youngest brother of the respected Zenpachi Fujikura. He inherited Zenpachi Fujikura’s dreams and established the company as the first president in 1901. One hundred twenty years have passed since then, and the company is about to take off into the future.

We are deeply grateful to our customers, as their continued patronage sustains our business to this day.
Throughout our long history, we have constantly cultivated adaptability. We are currently working to extend this proud tradition for another century.
In order to expand our future, we are striving to supply our products to new markets, without being restricted to existing rubber products.

In April 2019, FUJIKURA COMPOSITES Inc. became our official company name, based on the new corporate brand name we unveiled at our 100th anniversary. The company name carries on the historic name of Fujikura’s founder and encompasses our intentions that we will actively enter into new product fields that are not limited to rubber by utilizing our composite technology.

Based on our management philosophy, “We value technological expertise, creativity, and proactive communication to enhance the quality of life and foster a sense of safety for everyone in society,” we will continue to supply products that earn widespread acceptance by people around the world.

We will promote a number of measures for sustainable growth, including the development of new products with higher functionality and added value, and strategic investments.
In addition, we will engage in constant reforms in order to be a company that constantly seeks to increase shareholder value, through effective communication with all stakeholders, including our customers.
