Information Concerning System for Notifications Under the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act
FUJIKURA COMPOSITES Inc. (the “Company”) hereby announces that the Company is now categorized as a company operating a business that belongs to one of the core business sectors set out under the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act (the “Foreign Exchange Act”), as described below.

Change to the Company’s applicability as a “company operating a business in a core business sector”
Following an internal review of the Company’s business operations and subsequent confirmation with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Company has determined that its operations fall under a core business sector.

Impact on investors and other points of note
Following this change in categorization, if a foreign investor (refers to overseas corporations, non-resident investors, and other such investors as defined in Article 26, Paragraph 1 of the Foreign Exchange Act) acquires shares in the Company and, as a result of said acquisition, the said investor’s holding ratio post-acquisition is 1% or higher (including 1%), it has become necessary, in principle, for the said investor to submit a prior notification to the Ministry of Finance and any other relevant ministries with jurisdiction over the business of the Company.
