R&D
We aim to address social issues across five key supporting areas, pursuing themes that contribute to sustainability. At the core of our efforts lies composite technology, which integrates our unique expertise in materials, design, composites, and processing. In addition to developing cutting-edge technologies, we are actively promoting open innovation through collaborations with academia, startups, businesses, and regional platforms. We also focus on developing environmentally friendly materials, including those with a low-carbon footprint, alternatives to fluorine and silicone, and recycled or naturally derived resources. We are building an intelligence system that organically connects people, materials, technology, and information, contributing to the advancement of research and development and the realization of a sustainable society.
Reallocation of resources to growth areas
We will review our organization and reallocate management resources to five growth areas: next-generation automobiles, semiconductors, medical, new energy, and safety (lifesaving).
Next-generation automobiles
[Boosting our approach to the vehicle electrification market]

Semiconductor
[Expansion of liquid crystal and semiconductor businesses]
We have renovated the Odaka Plant building and established a new plant for the control department.
< Precision machining and assembly lines have been set up.>
- The plant handles the processing and assembly of structural components, mainly for liquid crystal and semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- It has enabled precision machining in a constant temperature-controlled environment.

Medical
[Enhancing our medical businesses]
We have enhanced production in the clean room at the Haramachi Plant.
< Equipment>
Oxygen concentrator industry, artificial heart-lung machine industry, dialysis machine industry
< Materials>
Molded silicone rubber products, single-use products, check valves

New energy
[Enhancing the development of liquid detection sensors]

Safety (lifesaving)
[Development of an improved internal storage-type lifesaving buoyant apparatus]
We have developed an improved 25-seater lifesaving buoyant apparatus and fixed-type slider products ahead of time.
- The height when positioning the apparatus is 1.2 m–1.5 m, and the auxiliary rail functions as an escape slider.
- The apparatus is oval shaped, with an emphasis on its ability to move along the ship's side and ease of transfer.
- The apparatus is reversible and can be used as is, even when inverted.
- Thermal insulators are required to keep out water and the cold because the apparatus does not have a canopy.

Investment in new areas
We will actively allocate funds to other areas, work to transform our business portfolio, and extensively consider M&A and collaboration with startups and university research institutions to create synergies in the future.

Quality
As part of our corporate philosophy, we have established a "Quality Control Policy" and will strive to be a trusted company by providing products that satisfy our customers with all employees acting in accordance with this policy. Our policy extends beyond the quality of our products. We are working to improve the quality of all our operations, including better services, stable quality, faster technological development, and lower costs, to gain even greater trust from our customers.
Quality Control Policy
1. We are committed to contributing to society by delivering superior products, adhering to our quality-first philosophy, and ensuring consumer-focused services and product safety.
2. We strive to provide products that satisfy our customers every time.
3. We maintain the effectiveness of our quality management system and drive continuous improvement through actions to achieve our goals.
